Very recently, a request went out by the HORC Vice-President to the Board of Directors to cancel the June and July meetings. When I was personally contacted by her, I informed her that I have 3 agenda items for the next June meeting. I was hoping the meeting would not be cancelled.
Apparently my three items didn't count, because the vote went through, and, much to my dismay, the board voted to cancel the June and July meetings.
Since that time, there has been an amazing turn of events. A quorem of the Board has voted to have a board meeting on Monday June 15 at 2 pm. An agenda of summer items has been proposed, and will be voted upon.

It was a great meeting, and "right" always wins out. Some of the board members found out that, as one shareholder has stated, we are RETIRED, not RETARDED.
We elected most of the nine people up there at that meeting. I got the impression that only 2 of them are running the park, and the others are mad about it. I thought this place was suppose to be run by A BOARD!!
I agree with you. I thought our park was suppose to be run by a BOARD. It was stated by one of your board members that they are not informed of what is going on by the other board members. They all need to be on the same page. They do need to be a team. Your impression that only 2 of them are running the board,I got the feeling it is 3.
all this board member has to do, which most do, is attend a high % of the meetings. the record of some is dismal. attend the meetings, and you are informed.
This meeting was called for one reason only to have the President resign his postion as President because of illness. Ron did not resign because of poor health but was asked to by a few of the board members for their own agenda. It seems that some of the board members want to take control of the
park. This is a disgrace.
WE SHOULD NOT ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN!
THE BOARD SHOULD WORK TOGETHER.
I thought there were suppose to be board meetings every month. During the winter some were canceled, We do have 9 board members that a meeting could of still gone on if one or two members were unable to attend, we still would of have a
quorm. Now we find out through the internet that a meeting was to be cancelled again for no reason, whats up with this board we have elected. Its bad enough us people up north have no info on what went on in the board meeting until a month later in the newsletter. It was nice to see the minutes posted but they don't do that anymore. Maybe you could post them on the other website you have to sign into, or at least give us an idea of whats being discussed, Like what were the 3 items that one of the board members wanted to talk about.
