Happy Anniversary, Bloggers

Today marks the one year anniversary of this blog. In an effort to find a way to communicate instantly with the residents, the blog was born. On May 28 last year the first article was posted about the serious water shortage in Tampa, encouraging residents to begin saving water, and to limit lawn waterings to once a week. We've all learned a lot about blogging since then.
This posting marks the 201st article, telling of meetings and parties and potluck suppers. Countless photos have been published so you can print them yourself at home. Its fun to go back and look at the July 4th party, Gasparilla, Halloween, and the wonderful Summer Bunch.
During the year I've had to give the blog a new name, and declare its unofficial status, after receiving some heat from the Board. One board member vowed to shut it down.
There have been over 17,000 hits during the year. A few people contributed some articles, and for awhile, people actually wrote comments. I am still looking for authors to contribute postings, and for reporters to call me with news items. There may be some changes this year. I've even spoken of canceling the blog. We'll see what the new year brings. Thanks for your support.
