Lisa Strange, our Master Gardener from Florida Yards and Neighborhoods has advised us to temporarily ignore the dead landscaping and foliage around your house. Don't rush into cutting off the dead leaves and branches. Many hybiscus, rubber trees, and ornamental palms may be all brown right now, but many of them will bounce right back in the springtime. Pruning them right now may cause further damage in the event of another cold snap.
Be patient, spring is just around the corner.
