Our Hero!

Ed Scobee has certainly shown his devotion to our park today. After leaving work, he drove over to the Georgetown area, and followed some of the bike tracks that were left after last night's robberies. He stopped and questioned people along the way, asking if they had seen kids riding 3 wheelers. The trail led him down West Shore where he spotted some youths riding 3 wheel bikes. Ed immediately phoned the police who quickly arrived to detain the offenders. One was discovered out on a warrant, and was immediately arrested.

Just before the Town Hall meeting at 7pm tonight, Ed drove up and delivered 5 stolen bikes back to the park. Several of the Board members gathered to help identify the bikes. One had the owner's drivers license number engraved right into the frame, and an address label pasted under the seat. The kid riding this bike swore to the cops it was his. BUSTED!!!
Chet Hindman returned bikes to those with identification. Please engrave your bikes, or otherwise mark them so they can be identified if they are stolen. The offenders will not be charged with theft if the true owners are not identified.
Thank you, Ed Scobee, for your diligence and your caring. You are our hero!
